The Houston Headache Clinic has long been a center for pharmaceutical clinical trials, in which investigational drugs - developed for both the treatment and prevention of migraines - are tested.

Patients electing to participate in new drug trials receive a headache consultation and study medication at no cost.

Study participants may need to make periodic visits to the Clinic throughout the study and may also be asked to keep diaries throughout the study period.

Studies currently enrolling

	Acute Study - Acute study for adults 18 years of age and older suffering from 1 to 8 migraines per month.
	Chronic Migraine - Do you have more than 15 headache days per month? You may qualify to participate in a study of an investigational preventive medication (BOTOX®). If you are 18 years of age or older and are interested in more information contact Paula.
	Preventative Studies - We are currently conducting studies for preventative treatment of migraines. If you have 4-12 migraines per month you may qualify for one of these studies.
