• Pharmacological treatments - State of the art preventative as well as acute medications are used,
• Detoxification from harmful medications, which cause rebound headache,
• Psychological and behavioral therapy after screening for comorbidities such as depression and anxiety states,
• Biofeedback therapy and other relaxation techniques,
• Physical Medicine
• Nutritional counseling placing the patients on a low tyramine, low caffeine, low preservative diet,
• Chemo denervation using BOTOX® (since BOTOX® use in chronic headaches is an off label use, it is generally not covered by insurance - with some exceptions),
• Trigger point injections,
• Occipital nerve blocks,
• Surgical treatment (radiofrequency trigemino rhizotomy) for chronic cluster headaches,
• Referral for PFO closure.
